January 2025: Hans-Martin Buff wins Grammy Award
Recording engineer and music producer Hans-Martin Buff has been awarded the prestigious “Best Immersive Audio Album” Grammy for his innovative work on Peter Gabriel’s album “i/o.” This accolade marks a significant milestone in Buff’s illustrious career, which spans over three decades and includes collaborations with iconic artists such as Prince, Mousse T., and the Scorpions.

October 2023: msm-studios open studio in Berlin
msm-studios has opened a new 3D audio studio in Berlin, establishing a prominent hub for immersive sound in Germany’s capital. Located in the Kreuzberg district, this state-of-the-art studio is open to all music creators.
July 2021: msm-studios focus on Dolby Atmos for Music
The large Studio F at the renowned msm-studios in Munich was converted, modernised and put back into operation as a Dolby Atmos for Music Studio at the end of June 2021. This is the studio's response to the ever-increasing demand for immersive mixes for music productions.
May 2020: Upgrade for msm stereo control room
Even in times of immersive sound formats such as Dolby ATMOS, the mastering of stereo productions remains an important constant in the portfolio of the renowned msm studio group. This is why the legendary stereo mastering control room (Studio A) has now been expanded to include interesting features for even more flexible use.
April 2019: msm studio group becomes Europe’s first certified Dolby Atmos Home studio
MSM Studio Group in Munich has chosen PMC monitoring for its brand new Dolby Atmos studio, which is now being used to mix and master projects in this exciting immersive audio format, primarily for release on Pure Audio Blu-ray.
