Stefan Bock founded msm-studios in 1991, which quickly became one of the most renowned mastering studios in Europe. Over the past three decades, Stefan has followed the increasing demands of digitalization in audio technology, consistently expanding the studios and always keeping them at the cutting edge of technology. To this day, he is the owner and managing director of msm studios. In 2018, Stefan Bock and Stefan Zaradic founded IAN-Solutions GmbH & Co KG, a company for immersive and trend-setting high-end audio solutions.

As the developer of Pure Audio Blu-ray, Stefan created the only physical recording medium that can play back all common immersive audio formats.

Stefan Bock works as engineer & producer especially for immersive productions that received international awards (Grammys, Golden Record, ECHO, Opus Klassik, etc.). His credits include productions for Peter Maffay, Herbert Grönemeyer, Sarah Brightman, Yello, 2L, Berliner Philharmoniker and Deutsche Grammophon.

Due to his expertise in the field of immersive audio, Stefan Bock is a renown speaker at international congresses, including those of the Audio Engineering Society and the Association of German Sound Engineers. He is also a regular lecturer at the ARD.ZDF Medienakademie.

Since March 2020, Stefan Bock has been a member of the Immersive Audio Committee of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
